CHAIR YOGA
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. The poses are adaptations of Hatha Yoga poses. Often the chair yoga student is unable to participate in a traditional yoga class due to mobility limitations such as arthritis, hip or knee surgery, difficulty getting up and down from the floor, or other physical conditions.
Complicated maneuvers and complex movements are not present in a chair yoga class. Within this type of yoga class, one can gain the benefits of a regular yoga class.
